Coming in May 2012: Brides, Bible Teachers, and Blogging Platforms

Once a month I share with you the upcoming releases I’m super excited about. What’s the fun in keeping it all to myself?

{Named By God}

Author: Kasey Van Norman

About: “Respected Bible teacher Kasey Van Norman understands what it means to be a prisoner of the past. Refined by the fires of suffering and heartache, Kasey is an inspiring example of God’s grace and intervention in a life that seemed beyond redemption.” Read an excerpt

My Notes: I’m currently in the middle of this book and will review it in the coming weeks. I’ll give you the low-down then.

Release Date: May 1

{Platform: Get Noticed in a Noisy World}

Author: Michael Hyatt

About: “In this step-by-step guide, Michael Hyatt, former CEO and current Chairman of Thomas Nelson Publishers, takes readers behind the scenes, into the new world of social media success.”

My Notes: Do you have Michael Hyatt’s blog in your reader? If you want to have a compelling presence on the internet and in the real world, you need to connect with this guy!

Release Date: May 1

{The Bride Wore Blue} The Sinclair Sisters of Cripple Creek Book 3

Author: Mona Hodgson

About:The youngest Sinclair is moving from Maine, to Cripple Creek, Colorado to join Kat, Nell, and Ida. But Vivian is a young woman with a will of her own, and made some decisions back in Portland that have begun to haunt her.” Read the first chapter.

My Notes: Mona Hodgson is a great writer! I reviewed Book 2 in the series last year and immediately put this author in my mental “to-read-all-her-books” pile.

Release Date: May 8

  1. Hyatt is incredible. His podcast is one I regularly listen to, and I am very eager to read the book. I already know I am doing the blog thing all wrong, but transferring to a different software after almost a decade of blogging is…complicated.

    • I recently downloaded a couple of his podcasts, but haven’t listened to any of them yet.

      You are certainly not doing the blogging thing wrong! I’ve realized that the “pros” are not always right in their assessment of what you should and should not do with a blog. Joseph and I were actually just talking about how you are one of the rare missionaries who keeps his supporters informed and updated – we think its awesome.
