Ši knyga – tai pirmas bandymas iš nuotrupų – eilėraščių, skiaučių, prisiminimų skeveldrų, kalėjimo bylos likučių – (re)konstruoti Rimo Buroko, poeto, bitniko ir hipio, o gal tiesiog XXa. 8- ojo dešimtmečio laisvės ženklo, portretą. Bet pastanga atkurti šį paveikslą - ar juolab tą laikotarpį - neišvengiamai balansuoja ties riba, kur interpretacija ima keisti tai, kas tikra. Tačiau nėra pasirinkimo. Nes užmarštis yra ir atminties iškalinimo forma, lydima vienintelės vilties, kad visa tai gali (ir turi) būti atrasta ir iš naujo perskaityta. Šviesiosios šios knygos salos – 96 Romo eilėraščiai. Kas dabar galėtų nuspėti, kokius jų invariantus ir kokia tvarka jis šiandien į šią knygą sudėtų? Mes, datuotus ir nedatuotus, rikiuojame juos iš pluošto, kurį išsaugojo Silva Burokienė-Kurienė, ir, ko gera, šventvagiaujame, kalbėdami veikiau apie savo įsivaizdavimus nei apie Rimą ir jo poeziją. Rimas Burokas grįžta – negyvenimo fragmentuose, gyvenimo fragmentais. Jų neįveikė nei sistema, nei laikas.
